Head Teacher - Toddler Classroom

Young Wonders is a childcare center located in Briarcliff Manor, New York. Young Wonders is seeking a full time lead teacher.

Candidates should be kind. They should be prepared to encourage and support the cognitive, social and emotional development of the children by providing a stimulating program that builds upon the natural curiosity and inclination to seek out learning and play activities.

The qualifications are a minimum of nine credits in Early Childhood while currently attending school, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), and at least two years with children.

• Prepare and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Maintain classroom records
• Participate in team meetings
• Work collaboratively with parents
• Provide a classroom environment conductive to learning
• The qualifications are a minimum of nine credits in Early Childhood and at least two years with children
• At Young Wonders full time employees are entitled to 2 weeks of paid vacation time, and after their first full year of employment employees will be eligible to receive 5 additional paid vacation days.
• Full time employees are also paid for 10 Federal holidays, and are eligible to utilize 10 sick/personal days.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
