Overview
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the credit union, including branch and cash operations, assisting in back-office operations. Provides input and suggestions to the CEO to ensure a safe and sound credit union, solid internal controls, effective and efficient operations, high quality member service, and compliance with existing rules, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
Pay based on the years of experience ($22.00-$24.00 per hour)
Duties
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensure excellent member service, every member, every transaction, every time.
Perform all Branch functions as needed
Assist in creating, implementing and maintaining an ongoing safe and sound operation for the credit union; ensure compliance with all state and federal rules and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.
May prepare specific reports as required for meetings, training, etc. as needed.
Participate in exams and audits as required; Provide accurate and timely reporting on resolutions, findings, progress, etc. to the CEO.
Oversee operations, member services and day-to-day transactions including but not limited to deposits, loan preparation, processing and funding, and proper logging in compliance with internal controls.
Oversight for collection efforts, including ongoing member contact.
Supervises credit union branch staff; responsible for on-going training and development of the credit union team members, one-on-one feedback and evaluations, hiring and disciplinary of all direct reports, etc.
Responsible for conducting surprise cash counts for all drawers issued in the branch; report final findings to Management
Responsible for ensuring credit union cash including; ensure all internal and cash control policies and procedures are followed daily, weekly and monthly. Ensure surprise cash counts for branch staff as required. Ensure compliance with internal logs are tracked and properly reported.
Ensure all member forms, logs, disclosures, etc. are up to date, available and trained where required.
May conduct audits including cash audits, vault audit, logs, negotiable instruments, new and closed accounts, closed and booked loans, etc. Report findings to the appropriate parties including the CEO and the Board or Supervisory Committee.
Ensure premier member service standards are being met within the branch; oversee branch scheduling to ensure proper resources are allocated to functions necessary to ensure an effective and efficient flow of member traffic
Responsible for opening and closing branch procedures
Assist staff with member escalations and complex transactions
All other duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience
Excellent member service skills
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Minimum of 5 years of Retail banking experience
Previous head teller experience preferred, including sales and service
Ability to multi-task; good time management skills
Excellent research and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Highly ethical
Ability to work independently.
