POSITION SUMMARY
Take care or and teach 6 amazing toddlers in a homelike, fun, and Christian environment. Perform a variety of tasks, such as dressing, feeding, changing, lesson planning and overseeing play as well as plan and carry out activities.

Must have either 1500 verifiable hours working with children or 3 college credits in early childhood education. Must have a high school diploma and be 18 years of age or older. College students may complete school work during nap time in the classroom.
No Holidays, no weekends.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Maintain a safe play environment.
- Dress children, change diapers and assist with potty training.
- Observe and monitor children's play activities and role model positive behavior.
- Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
- Sanitize toys and play equipment as well as disinfect and clean the day care center
- Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.
- Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
- Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to the Day Care Director's attention.
- Assist in preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children while following all state regulations and food code requirements.
- Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
- Read to children and teach them colors, letter, numbers, shapes, etc.
- Regulate children's rest periods.
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance, editing internal paperwork, and making phone calls.
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom.
- Perform general personnel functions, such as supervision and training of teacher assistants.
- Conduct professional communication with parents
- Encourage activities between children and residents.
- Assist child socialization with teachers and peers.
- Plan and carry out, age-appropriate toddler activities
