- Greet guests warmly and professionally, escorting them to tables as needed
- Present menus, explain dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods with confidence
- Provide personalized recommendations for food and wine pairings
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using proper service protocols
- Serve food and beverages with precision, timing, and correct etiquette
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns
- Maintain a calm, courteous, and polished demeanor at all times
Food & Beverage Knowledge
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu, seasonal offerings, and chef specials
- Understand wine varietals, regions, vintages, and pairing principles
- Communicate dietary restrictions and allergies accurately to the kitchen
- Stay informed about menu changes and service updates
Service Standards & Etiquette
- Follow fine dining service techniques (e.g., table-side service, plate presentation, silent service)
- Ensure tables are properly set according to fine dining standards
- Clear and reset tables efficiently and discreetly
- Uphold grooming, uniform, and personal hygiene standards
Teamwork & Operations
- Work collaboratively with hosts, bartenders, sommeliers, and kitchen staff
- Assist fellow servers during peak service periods
- Participate in pre-service briefings and ongoing training
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations
