CalPERS seeks a Financial Accountant IV, Health Accounting Section Leader in the Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division, Pension Accounting Section.

Under the direction of the Financial Accountant IV, the Financial Accountant III functions as the manager for the highly complex and specialized health accounting for employers, current, and pensioned members. The incumbent plans, supervises and directs the operations of the Health Accounting Section which includes the Health Accounting Unit and the Member and Health Collection Unit. Directs staff in performing the most complex and unique accounting transactions which the risk of error is potentially material. Establishes and maintains health accounting for current and pensioned members’ transactions in PeopleSoft Financials and myCalPERS as well as using other automated tools.

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.

Pay: $10,527.00 - $11,953.00 per month
