Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Officer and Transport Coordinator to oversee the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of health and safety systems across the school, while also managing school transport operations and compliance.

The role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with ADEK, ADPHC/DoH, Civil Defence, ADOSH, and ITC requirements, maintaining a safe environment for students, staff, contractors, and visitors, and overseeing STS and all school transport-related operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Health and Safety
  • Lead and manage all health and safety compliance across the school in line with ADEK and ADOSH requirements
  • Lead on risk assessments, inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring
  • Manage emergency procedures including fire drills, emergency response planning, and incident reporting
  • Maintain health and safety records, compliance documentation, licences, permits, and regulatory submissions
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and safety concerns, ensuring appropriate reporting and corrective actions
  • Deliver staff training, inductions, and promote a strong health and safety culture across the school
  • Liaise with government authorities during inspections and compliance visits
• Transport Coordination
  • Act as the main school point of contact for STS and oversee the day-to-day coordination of school transport, including parent queries, transport communication, bus compliance requirements, and liaison between the school and the transport provider to ensure smooth and safe operations.
