Health Informatics Analyst

What we're looking for:

The Health Informatics Analyst provides data analytics for the agency. They understand business processes to assist stakeholders with productivity efficiencies. They also possess technical expertise in developing visual charts and diagrams and can train stakeholders in using data analytics.

Compensation Range:

The starting pay for this position is $57,375.00 - $77,625.00, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

  • Design, implement, and keep secure, efficient, and correct databases.
  • Maintain current and correct knowledge of data storage and management best.
  • Ensure that databases are designed to meet specifications and requirements at the lowest possible costs.
  • Find and resolve production and/or applications' development problems related to the use of the database management system software or utilities.
  • Gather, organize, and interpret statistical data from the database to design and provide reporting and analytics on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis to support business
  • Design and keep business intelligence dashboards and data reports.
  • Assess current and projected database performance and recommend changes and enhancements.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy of dashboards and data reports through validations, verifications, and other methodologies.
  • Develop scripting, batches, routines, and coding for database transactions, maintenance, and enhancements, among other needs of database development.
  • Develop training documentation and guidelines for analysts and end users.
  • Resolve data conflicts for matters such as naming conventions, data privacy, and data ownership.
  • Ensure that the CNS Healthcare standards of customer service are applied to interactions with individuals served, guests, and staff.
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with established policies and procedures, HIPAA standards, and other regulatory programs.
  • Documents on all procedures, processes, and measuring performance of systems.
  • Provides regular updates on assigned projects, tasks, and the resolution of technical issues.
  • Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, computer science, or similar.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar function and role.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in SQL programming.
  • Ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software systems.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or similar data analytics application.
  • Proficiency in word processing, data entry, and telephone skills.
  • Passion for providing unparalleled customer service experience in a dynamic and diverse work environment.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to forward thinking and take initiative to carry out goals and aims.
  • Ability to use discretion and judgement when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires a valid and unrestricted Driver’s License.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in health informatics, computer science, or similar
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar function and role
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in SQL programming
  • Certification in business process experience and/or technology field relating to essential job functions.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs)
