Health Informatics Analyst

SCOPE OF WORK:

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.

1. Work with COVE administrative and clinical teams to determine objectives of performance stipulated by grant funding, contract requirements and general standards of performance established by COVE.

2. Plan and develop systems of complex data gathering through collaborative work with clinical and administrative personnel.

3. Ensure the timely and accurate entry and extraction of data from multiple complex sources, systems and platforms.

4. Analysis and testing data, in a manner that is curious and insightful, to determine the performance of programs against an array of standards and to share relevant information with service delivery personnel. Distilling large amounts of data into relevant, informative and actionable information.

5. Reporting of information, based on collected data, in a manner that is technically-proficient, impactful and efficient. Creation of reports to satisfy grant-funding requirements, contract requirements and the needs of service deliver teams.

6. A leading participant in the effort to perform grant-required program evaluation activities and assigned ualit assurance activities.

7. Participation in the development of new program concepts and proposals as it relates to components of performance, improvement and program evaluation.

8. Swiftly develop technical documents in response to deadlines.

9.Support the development of a robust, best-in-class data model by improving data processes to plug data gaps and improve quality, managing processes related to data collection, cleansing, analyzing, and reporting, and maintaining the data model and reporting to ensure ongoing quality.

10. Identifying innovative ways to drive better outcomes faster and more effectively by using statistical techniques for hypothesis testing to validate data and inter ret results.

11. Critically evaluates information from a variety of sources (including content experts, clinical applications, databases, practice guidelines, relevant websites etc.) to improve the quality and safety of patient care, and deliver relevant information to clinicians.

12. Designs, documents, develops and rolls out financial, clinical and utilization analyses using a variety of tools (ie SQL, Excel).

13. Performs exploratory data analysis and data mining of healthcare claims and authorizations data.

14. Monitors to ensure that required grant data entry is being entered into the appropriate data repositories and that all apropiate data fields are bein collected and entered.

15. Performs all other duties as assigned.
