Health Information Manager (HIM)

Full Time – Health Information Manager – Behavioral Health Hospital

Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine - a comprehensive inpatient behavioral health facility. Our center will provide acute behavioral health care and outpatient treatment to adults and geriatric adults who are in crisis from severe symptoms related to behavioral health and/or substance use disorder.

Are you a certified Health Information professional ready to lead and make an impact? Join our Behavioral Health team and play a vital role in maintaining accurate, secure, and compliant patient medical records.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and oversee all Health Information Management (HIM) services

  • Ensure medical records meet federal, state, and facility guidelines

  • Audit records for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data security

  • Supervise, train, and support medical records staff

  • Oversee ICD & CPT coding processes as needed

What We’re Looking For:
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s in Health Information Administration preferred

  • RHIT, CCA, or CCS certification required

  • 2+ years supervising a medical records department preferred

  • 1+ year behavioral health experience preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
