Job Overview
Epik International, a leading provider of domain registration and web hosting services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team. In this Full-Time role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all health and safety policies and programmes to ensure a secure and healthy working environment for all our employees. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with a deep understanding of UK health and safety regulations, capable of fostering a strong safety culture within a dynamic and technology-focused organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures in line with current UK legislation.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits for our office environments and for remote working arrangements, including Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments.
* Lead on incident investigation, recording, and reporting, ensuring that root causes are identified and preventative measures are implemented.
* Champion a positive and proactive health and safety culture across the entire organisation through effective communication and training programmes.
* Ensure the company maintains full compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management and all employees on health, safety, and wellbeing matters.
* Manage emergency procedures, including fire safety and first aid provisions, ensuring all staff are appropriately trained.
* Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying trends and recommending areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
* A recognised professional qualification in Health and Safety, such as a NEBOSH National General Certificate or Diploma.
* Proven experience working in a dedicated Health & Safety management role.
* In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety laws and regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safe systems of work.
* Experience within a corporate or technology-focused environment is highly desirable.
* Professional membership of IOSH (e.g., TechIOSH, GradIOSH) is preferred.
