Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy in medical coding, and facilitating timely collections. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to work effectively within a medical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code medical records using ICD-10 and DRG coding systems.
• Process and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement.
• Conduct medical collections by following up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records for billing purposes.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation is available for billing.
• Address inquiries from patients regarding their bills and payment options.
• Stay informed about changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems, including ICD-10 and DRG.
• Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficient in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
