About the position:

The Manager, Healthcare Business Analytics serves as a strategic analytics leader supporting the Home Health and Hospice leadership teams. This role is responsible for translating complex operational, financial, and clinical data into meaningful insights that guide organizational decision‑making, operational improvement, and performance management across multiple service lines.

This position partners closely with senior leadership, operational teams, clinical leaders, business development, finance, and technology resources to ensure data integrity, actionable reporting, and clear interpretation of performance outcomes. The Manager designs and delivers enterprise analytics, dashboards, and performance reporting while ensuring leaders across the organization understand what the data means and how it should inform operational decisions.

The Manager also supervises a Junior Business Analyst, providing mentorship, prioritization of analytical projects, and quality oversight of reporting and analytics outputs. In addition, this role occasionally develops training materials and delivers education to leaders and operational teams on how to interpret reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to improve organizational performance.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead development, interpretation, and delivery of enterprise analytics supporting Home Health and Hospice operations.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple internal and external sources to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports that provide clear visibility into organizational performance.
  • Translate complex data into meaningful insights that support leaders in identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Partner with operational, clinical, finance, IT, and business development teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Support organizational planning efforts by providing analytical insight for forecasting, operational planning, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop the format and presentation of analytics, dashboards, and scorecards used by executive leadership and field operations.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for analytics and reporting for senior leadership, divisional leaders, and regional teams.
  • Provide guidance to leaders and teams in interpreting reports and analytics to support informed decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data accessibility.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory requests by providing appropriate data analysis and documentation.
  • Ensure timely delivery and accessibility of accurate data and analytics for organizational stakeholders.
  • Evaluate when external expertise or validation is needed for data interpretation and coordinate such projects when necessary.
  • Participate in cross‑departmental initiatives and strategic projects requiring analytical support.
  • Create and occasionally deliver training materials or educational sessions to support adoption and understanding of reports and analytics tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise and mentor a Junior Business Analyst.
  • Prioritize analytical projects and manage workload across the analytics function.
  • Review and validate analytical outputs, dashboards, and reports to ensure accuracy and clarity before distribution.
  • Provide coaching and professional development to build analytical capabilities within the team.
  • Support onboarding and training of new analytics staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in analytics, healthcare operations, business intelligence, or related fields.
  • Experience in healthcare, preferably in home health, hospice, or post‑acute care.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex operational and financial information.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for operational leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain analytical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Tableau required.
  • Experience with data modeling, reporting tools, and healthcare operational systems preferred.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across clinical, operational, financial, and technical teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Self‑directed with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
