About the Opportunity

Ion Computer Systems is seeking a Healthcare Integration Developer to support a major initiative with Northwell Health, New York’s largest healthcare provider and private employer. This role will focus on the design, development, and support of clinical and interoperability solutions within a highly scalable healthcare integration environment.

You will play a key role in building and maintaining mission-critical systems that support patient data exchange, clinical workflows, and interoperability across enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain internally developed applications
• Write new programs and enhance or modify existing systems
• Build and support healthcare integrations and data exchange workflows
• Develop and maintain modern web applications and APIs
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, and integration teams
• Perform testing, debugging, and ongoing system maintenance

Required Skills & Experience

• Full-Stack Development Proficiency across one or more of the following:
• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript
• Backend: FastAPI, PostgreSQL
• Strong experience with API design and development
• Solid understanding of modern software development practices and OOP principles
• Experience working with relational databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (bonus points)
• Experience with healthcare integration technologies:
• HL7, IHE, CCD/CDA/CCDA
• InterSystems HealthShare, Ensemble, or Cache
• Familiarity with:
• MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server
• LAMP Stack (PHP)
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA)
