Healthcare Investment Banking Vice President

Selby Jennings is partnering with a leading independent institutional broker‑dealer to add a Healthcare Investment Banking Vice President / Senior Vice President to its growing healthcare platform.

This opportunity sits within a well‑established equity capital markets-focused investment banking group, with a strong emphasis on healthcare, biotechnology, and life sciences issuers. The team is known for its institutional connectivity, execution‑oriented culture, and repeat engagement model with public company clients. The role offers significant execution ownership, direct client exposure, and close partnership with senior leadership on ongoing capital‑raising mandates rather than episodic transactions.

The Healthcare Investment Banking Vice President will be responsible for:

• Leading execution across equity capital markets transactions, including ATMs, follow‑on offerings, registered directs, CMPOs, and select PIPEs
• Preparing and delivering client presentations and transaction materials throughout the execution lifecycle
• Acting as the day‑to‑day execution lead and primary point of contact for issuer clients alongside senior bankers
• Coordinating internal and external workstreams, including legal, accounting, syndicate, ECM, and trading teams
• Conducting healthcare‑focused industry, market, and company‑specific analysis to support capital strategy discussions
• Supporting origination efforts and long‑term client relationship development
• Managing and mentoring Analysts and Associates across live transactions
  
  

The Healthcare Investment Banking Vice President should have the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Equity Capital Markets, or a closely related role
• Prior healthcare, biotechnology, life sciences, or specialty pharma experience strongly preferred
• Proven execution experience across public equity transactions (ATM, follow‑on, registered direct, CMPO, and/or PIPE)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Strong communication skills and comfort interfacing directly with senior management teams
