Healthcare Office Administrator

Successful ophthalmology and optometry practice looking for dynamic leader to join our organization. Must have a high level of initiative, commitment to providing a world-class patient experience, and capacity to manage a broad range of responsibilities. Bachelors or Masters degree preferred.

SUMMARY/PURPOSE: Provide leadership direction and administration to ensure accomplishment of practice objectives and goals. Responsible for all aspects of business including, but not limited to, administrative, financial, personnel, billing, and maintenance. Monitors the activities of the practice operations to ensure the practice successfully meets its objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Clinic Leadership

  • Lead and mentor staff to ensure efficient and excellent service to patients.
  • Promote the clinic brand and culture.
  • Ensure efficient infrastructure and clinic resources that promote employee productivity.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure excellent customer service.

2. Financial Leadership

  • Prepare clinic financial statements, monthly production reports
  • Manage billing office staff and ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Oversee performance of all accounts payable operations.

3. Business Development

  • Work with physician owners in deveopment of the practice.
  • Help with marketing the practice.
  • Drive business to cash service lines including optical and contact lenses.
  • Manage other business requirements including business insurance, malpractice insurance, etc.

4. Employee Recruiting and HR

  • Employee Onboarding, Performance reviews
  • Employee File Management
  • Conducting Interviews and Managing Job Descriptions

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
