Healthcare Relationship Specialist - Private Practices

About our firm

Akamai Business Advisors is an accounting services firm that exclusively serves independent, family-owned, and provider-owned healthcare practices. Your local veterinarian, dentist, optometrist, dermatologist, physical therapist, psychologist, chiropractor, medspa are all examples of community healthcare businesses we take care of.

Our team of seasoned healthcare accountants specialize in local healthcare practices. Our core services are strategic financial reporting, bookkeeping, and controllership. We don't just crunch numbers and call it a day: we structure, interpret, and present financial data in a way that is tailored to the needs of independent healthcare providers and the nuances of their medical specialties. For example, veterinary clinics should be using their industry standard AAHA chart of accounts (there are many that don’t and pay a heavy price as a result).

By delivering deep financial clarity, we ensure our clients maintain flawless compliance while providing clear, actionable insights to their other critical stakeholders, including their CPAs, tax professionals, practice consultants, wealth managers, business partners, and lending institutions. All of this is in addition to the time savings that owners and staff get back to grow their businesses, focus on patients, or simply have their nights, weekends, and peace of mind back.

Our firm's founding partner grew up and worked directly inside his parents’ family-owned medical practice, as well as the private practices of his extended family. Having spent his life behind the scenes of community healthcare, he relates to and empathizes deeply with the distinct highs and lows that private practice owners experience daily.

Now more than ever, independent practices need compassionate, tailored support to ensure both their patients and their businesses are properly protected. The recent wave of private equity investments and aggressive corporate consolidation has made life significantly harder for the average community healthcare provider. We exist to give those independent providers the specialized accounting infrastructure needed to remain independent, profitable, and focused on patient care along with their own.

About the program

Do you have ties to people at provider-owned or family-owned healthcare businesses?

Are you a consultant, colleague, or peer of independent healthcare practices that would benefit from a team of a specialized healthcare accounting firm that can relate not only to their business but to them as people?

This is a referral partner role for professionals interested in our firm’s practice referral program, which offers strong compensation for warm introductions made to healthcare practices that turn into signed/successful engagements.

This opportunity is typically the best fit for:

  • Medical, dental, or veterinary equipment and supply representatives.

What the program is (and what it is not)

This program is for professionals interested in being rewarded for introducing their network of provider-owned healthcare practices to accountants who specialize in serving local healthcare businesses.

This is not a sales or business development position. You will not be given a phone list, you will not be making cold calls, and you will not be pitching services. This is a transparent, compliant 1099-contracted, relationship-driven, company referral program.

Program participants identify independent practices in their network who they think would be open to and benefit from the help of our accountants, then make a warm, professional 3-way introduction between our team and their ownership/leadership. Our firm takes it from there, handling 100% of the discovery process, diagnostic analysis, proposal submission, client onboarding, and ongoing services.

Professional boundaries & compliance

To protect our firm’s ethical standing and reputation within the medical community, mass solicitation, list scraping, or cold outreach to professionals outside of your immediate network is strictly prohibited.

The use or representation of Akamai’s brand name, logo, or marketing materials to individuals outside of your pre-existing acquaintance or professional network will result in immediate termination of the contract and legal action if deemed necessary. We deal exclusively in high-trust, ethical, and warm introductions.

Compensation Structure

This is a 100% success-based contract (1099) role, utilizing a transparent Tiered Flat-Fee Model.

Marketing fees paid for successful introductions scale with the complexity and size of the practice, typically ranging from $500 to over $2,000+ per successful client onboarding. The fee model is discussed in detail during the meet and greet with our firm .

The process from start to finish

If you have a strong network of decision makers at privately-owned healthcare practices whose businesses you would like to help strengthen, while being generously rewarded for it, this could be a strong opportunity for you.

  • Submit program application here.
  • A friendly meet & greet call with our firm’s owner
  • On the call, we will discuss the referral program in greater detail, making sure it is a good fit for everyone.
  • We sign a master referral agreement upon completing a successful introduction call – the master referral agreement is a basic document that acknowledges the general compliance, ethics, structure, and terms of the referral program that all parties agree to uphold.
  • Receive helpful client case studies and informational materials to reference before & during conversations with your network.
  • Engage your relevant network and facilitate introductions with private healthcare practices that are a good fit for our accounting services.
  • Our firm meets the client, conducts a discovery call and analysis, then extends a proposal to the client if there is a mutual fit.
  • Upon completing the client discovery and diagnostic calls, the referral process is now underway, and we will both sign a pre-referral agreement, which is tailored to each individual referral transaction. The pre-referral agreement includes all information and payment terms related to a specific referral.
  • The client signs and makes their first payment, upon which you begin receiving compensation per the terms of the pre-referral agreement.

Pay: $1.00 - $2,000.00 per month

Application Question(s):

  • Please confirm you understand this is a traditional client referral program and not a position within the company.
  • Do you currently have professional or personal connections with privately owned healthcare practices that you may be interested in introducing to our firm to discuss accounting services?
