Healthcare Sales - Medical Referral Specialist (1099)

Overview
Therapy Cincinnati, a group practice of outpatient mental health therapists, is seeking a part time Healthcare Provider Liaison to develop and maintain referral relationships with medical practices in our area. This position focuses on visiting physician offices to educate providers and staff about our mental health services and establish seamless referral processes for their patients requiring mental health support.

The ideal candidate will understand day-to-day operations of medical practices and be able to engage directly with physicians in family practices, internal medicine groups, pediatricians, and other specialist offices. You'll serve as the bridge between medical providers and our mental health services, ensuring doctors understand our capabilities, specialties, and how we can support their patients' mental health needs.

Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to maintain consistent communication with medical offices. You'll provide practices with referral materials, follow up on referral patterns, and work to streamline the referral process. The position offers flexible scheduling, making it ideal for healthcare sales professionals seeking part-time work.

Previous experience in healthcare sales, provider relations, or medical practice liaison roles is essential. Candidates must have reliable transportation, maintain HIPAA compliance, and possess excellent presentation skills. Your efforts will help ensure patients receive timely access to mental health care through stronger connections between medical practices and our services.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify medical practices and providers that would be interested in Therapy Cincinnati’s outpatient services.
• Visit medical offices to establish referral relationships
• Educate healthcare providers about our mental health services and referral process
• Maintain relationships with referring physicians and staff
• Track referral patterns and follow up with medical offices
• Provide practices with referral materials and resources

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, Business Administration or Healthcare preferred.
• Recent and direct experience working in a communications or sales position within the healthcare field may be substituted in lieu of education and/or experience requirements.
• A Valid Driver’s License as daily driving is a job requirement.
• Willing to travel within an assigned territory.
• Must provide own vehicle, however mileage reimbursement will be covered.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Fluent in computer programs.
• Function independently and responsibly with minimal need for supervision
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18.74 - $45.00 per hour
