Healthcare Sales Representative

About the Opportunity

A growing specialty and compounding pharmacy based in Fort Lee, NJ is looking for an experienced Specialty Pharmacy Sales Representative to help expand provider relationships across New Jersey and New York.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with existing healthcare, pharmacy, pharmaceutical, or medical sales relationships who knows how to build trust with providers and turn those relationships into consistent referral volume.

This is not an in-store pharmacy role. The position is primarily field-based and remote-flexible, with a focus on visiting, calling, and building relationships with physicians, medical offices, and referral partners throughout NJ and NY.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, well-connected, and comfortable working independently while having direct access to pharmacy ownership and leadership.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and growing referral partnerships with healthcare providers and medical offices across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, medical offices, and healthcare providers
  • Leverage existing provider relationships to generate new prescription volume
  • Identify and develop new referral opportunities throughout NJ and NY
  • Educate providers and office staff on the pharmacy’s specialty and compounding services
  • Promote prescription transfers from chain pharmacies when appropriate
  • Communicate the pharmacy’s service advantages, turnaround times, patient support, and medication access capabilities
  • Coordinate with the pharmacy team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new patients and providers
  • Track outreach activity, referrals, conversions, and account growth
  • Represent the pharmacy professionally in the field and through remote communication

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who can bring experience, relationships, and a results-driven approach to the role.

Strong candidates will have:

  • Existing relationships with physicians, providers, or medical offices in NJ and/or NY
  • Experience in pharmacy sales, pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, healthcare sales, or related provider outreach
  • Confidence selling across multiple medical specialties
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently without needing constant supervision
  • Comfort managing a territory and tracking outreach results
  • Familiarity with specialty medications, compounding pharmacies, or prior authorizations is a plus

Compensation

This position offers a competitive base compensation structure with uncapped commission potential.

Compensation may be structured as W2 or 1099 depending on experience, fit, and the final arrangement.

Flexible schedule based on territory activity, provider meetings, account management, and sales performance.

Requirements

  • Healthcare sales experience preferred
  • Pharmacy, pharmaceutical, medical device, or provider sales experience strongly preferred
  • Existing provider relationships in NJ and/or NY strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a remote/field-based role
  • Must be able to travel within New Jersey and New York as needed

Work Location

Remote / field-based throughout New Jersey and New York. The pharmacy is located in Fort Lee, NJ, but regular in-store work is not required.

Pay: $29.00 - $51.00 per hour
