Hearing / Deposition Attorney

Overview

We are a growing lemon law practice seeking an experienced Hearing / Deposition Attorney to assist on an independent contractor basis. This role is focused on attending routine hearings and defending depositions. The work is well-defined, procedural, and not overly complex.

This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys court appearances and deposition work without the demands of full case management.

Responsibilities

• Appear at case management conferences and other routine hearings
• Defend depositions of plaintiffs in lemon law matters
• Review case materials in advance of hearings/depositions
• Provide brief post-appearance summaries as needed
• Coordinate scheduling with our legal team

Qualifications

• Active and good-standing license to practice law in California
• Prior experience with hearings and/or depositions (lemon law experience a plus, but not required)
• Comfortable speaking on the record and representing clients independently
• Reliable, organized, and punctual
• Ability to work on an independent contractor (1099) basis

Compensation

• Hourly rate based on experience.
• Consistent volume of work available
• No origination, billing, or client intake responsibilities

Pay: $40.00 - $75.00 per hour
