Duties

• Assist in conducting patient assessments by gathering medical histories and performing basic physiological evaluations related to hearing health
• Support the fitting and adjustment of hearing instruments under supervision, ensuring optimal device performance for each patient
• Learn to interpret medical terminology and ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding to document patient interactions accurately
• Participate in intake procedures, including explaining procedures and answering patient questions with clarity and empathy
• Help maintain detailed records of patient visits, device settings, and treatment plans in accordance with clinic protocols
• Support compliance with occupational health standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients

Qualifications

• Strong interest in health sciences, audiology, or related fields with a desire to develop specialized skills in hearing health care
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to the auditory system
• Ability to perform patient assessments and intake procedures with attention to detail and compassion
• Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly and providing outstanding patient service
• Willingness to learn technical skills related to hearing instrument fitting, troubleshooting, and ICD coding

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
