Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians in installing HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Support routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Learn to read schematics and HVAC design plans to accurately identify system components and layout.
- Conduct basic equipment repair and service tasks on appliances, refrigeration units, and property maintenance systems.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical circuits and mechanical components for faults.
- Help with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and refrigerant piping setups including ammonia refrigeration if applicable.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system conditions for future reference.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in construction trades, mechanical systems, or property maintenance.
- Prior experience as a service technician or in related fields such as appliance repair or field service is a plus.
- Basic understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and refrigeration systems.
- Mechanical knowledge including plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and equipment repair techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving <PERSON> drivers preferred.
- Willingness to learn about ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) technologies.
