Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across various commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. A valid <PERSON> driver’s license is required for this position. Candidates with experience in construction, refrigeration, plumbing, appliance repair, boiler systems, or ammonia refrigeration are highly encouraged to apply. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial and residential settings
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to ensure proper system installation and maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and appliances
- Conduct repairs on mechanical components such as motors, compressors, valves, and ductwork
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics and welding equipment for component repairs or modifications
- Diagnose issues related to refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration where applicable
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance projects
- Conduct field service visits efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain detailed service reports and documentation of work performed
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related fields such as appliance repair or property maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans
- Experience with equipment repair including boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia systems), and air conditioning systems
- Familiarity with plumbing systems relevant to HVAC applications
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC system installation and maintenance
- Field service experience with a focus on timely troubleshooting and repairs
- Basic understanding of refrigeration cycles including ammonia refrigeration systems
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license for transportation between job sites
- Additional skills such as welding, boiler operation, or mechanic experience are advantageous

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
