Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure optimal indoor comfort and air quality. Duties
- Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) equipment to ensure efficient operation
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings for proper installation and service procedures
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant lines and drainage connections
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment issues
- Repair or replace components such as compressors, fans, motors, welders, and other mechanical parts using welding or mechanical repair techniques
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
Skills
- Strong construction background with experience in property maintenance and appliance repair
- Proven service technician experience in HVAC or refrigeration fields with knowledge of HVAC/R systems
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans accurately
- Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, and related equipment
- Field service experience with a focus on equipment repair and preventative maintenance
- Familiarity with plumbing connections associated with HVAC installations
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting
- Experience operating a <PERSON> driver license for safe transportation to job sites
- Welding skills for metal fabrication or repair tasks involving HVAC components
- Mechanical mechanic experience is highly desirable for complex system troubleshooting
