Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanic to join our maintenance team. Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure HVAC equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
• Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems such as condensate drains and water lines.
• Utilize diagnostic tools like ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure system integrity.
• Perform welding and equipment repair tasks as needed to restore or enhance system performance.
• Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle for transporting tools, parts, or equipment between sites.
• Work with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) units that require specialized knowledge of refrigerants and safety protocols.
• Read and interpret schematics for complex HVAC design projects to facilitate installation or upgrades.
• Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to support overall building operations.

Skills

• Extensive construction experience with a focus on HVAC installation and repair projects.
• Proven service technician experience in troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC systems in commercial or residential settings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents accurately.
• Proficiency with field service procedures including diagnostic testing with tools like ohmmeters and multimeters.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and handling hazardous refrigerants safely.
• Skilled in welding techniques necessary for equipment repair or modification tasks.
• Knowledge of boiler operation and maintenance procedures for various heating systems.
• Mechanical experience working on complex HVAC/R units with an emphasis on equipment repair and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for operating <PERSON> driver vehicles as required.
