Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting HVAC systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge HVAC technology, including refrigeration and ammonia refrigeration systems, while providing exceptional service to clients. Your mechanical knowledge and field service experience will be key to delivering top-tier maintenance and repairs that keep our clients comfortable year-round. Opportunity to make up to $120,000 a year based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heat pumps and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting, drainage connections, and water supply management.
- Conduct equipment repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure system integrity and safety.
- Diagnose mechanical problems in HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems and execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance reports.
- Assist in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure continuous operation and compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields; construction experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler operation, appliance repair, welding skills, plumbing expertise, and general equipment repair.
- Field service experience with a focus on air conditioning systems and property maintenance tasks.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical components.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers is preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R standards including ammonia refrigeration safety protocols.

Pay: $24.34 - $35.00 per hour
