Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency.
- Read and interpret complex schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately install or repair systems.
- Conduct plumbing and refrigeration repairs related to HVAC systems, including ammonia refrigeration units when applicable.
- Use welding techniques and mechanical skills to repair or modify equipment components as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting work performed for compliance and future reference.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations while providing exceptional field service to clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems or related mechanical fields.
- Strong construction background with knowledge of property maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of appliances repair, equipment repair, welding techniques, and general maintenance procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar vehicles preferred.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems is essential.
- Additional certifications such as HVAC/R certification or mechanic experience are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple service requests efficiently. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
