Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing essential climate control systems across commercial and residential properties. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal performance and comfort for clients. As an HVAC Technician, you will utilize your mechanical expertise, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities to deliver top-notch service and maintenance. Your work will directly impact the safety, efficiency, and reliability of heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems. Willing to compensate based on experience. Commission and bonuses available. Candidates will be required to pass drug and background checks. Felony applicants are ineligible.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Install new HVAC equipment following design specifications and schematics, ensuring proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct plumbing and mechanical repairs related to HVAC systems, including pipe fittings, refrigerant charging, and component replacements.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues within HVAC systems.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for all performed tasks.
- Operate field service vehicles safely as a <PERSON> driver to reach job sites promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support emergency repairs during off-hours to minimize downtime for clients.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments or property maintenance settings.
- Proven service technician experience working with HVAC/R systems, appliances, or refrigeration units.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and design plans for HVAC installations or repairs.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
- Experience with plumbing components related to heating and cooling systems.
- Skilled in electrical troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters; capable of diagnosing electrical faults accurately.
- Mechanical skills including welding, equipment repair, and general mechanic experience.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license for field service operations; ability to navigate efficiently between job sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
