Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults accurately.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, valves, and piping—covering plumbing and refrigeration aspects as needed.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and compliance.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities; operate heavy machinery including <PERSON> drivers when required for equipment transport.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system installation and repair.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans.
• Experience with refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration).
• Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups; familiar with appliance repair and property maintenance tasks.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; skilled in equipment repair including boilers and other mechanical components.
• Field service experience working directly on-site at commercial or residential properties; capable of handling complex mechanical issues efficiently.
• Welding skills for custom repairs or fabrication; familiarity with construction standards related to HVAC installations.
• Valid <PERSON> driver’s license for transportation between job sites; willingness to travel as needed. Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
