Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Duties

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in accordance with industry standards and schematics.
• Diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; interpret technical drawings and HVAC design plans to execute precise repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, refrigerant recharges, and calibration of controls to ensure peak performance.
• Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fittings, drainage connections, and ammonia refrigeration setups where applicable.
• Weld or perform mechanical repairs on equipment using welding tools; troubleshoot mechanical failures in complex HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs for compliance and future reference.
• Adhere to safety protocols during field service operations; operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely while transporting equipment or parts to job sites.
• Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to support overall building operations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
• Hands-on experience with schematics interpretation, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, and appliance repair.
• Mechanical knowledge of boilers, pumps, ductwork, ventilation fans, and associated mechanical components.
• Field service experience involving equipment repair in diverse settings; ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with plumbing work related to HVAC installations; experience with welding and equipment repair is highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; ability to read electrical diagrams is essential.
