Job Overview
Sunset Plumbing in JC is under new ownership and business is taking off! We need techs and installers with experience-overtime and weekend work is available. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems in residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability.

Responsibilities

• inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults.
• Maintain property by performing routine maintenance tasks on HVAC/R systems and related mechanical components.
• Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC design modifications or upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to ammonia refrigeration, electrical codes, and building regulations during all service activities.

Skills

• Extensive experience in construction-related HVAC installation and repair projects.
• Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R systems in commercial or residential settings.
• Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design principles for accurate troubleshooting.
• Mechanical knowledge covering refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
• Field service expertise including equipment repair, maintenance routines, welding skills, and property upkeep.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience working as a mechanic or in property maintenance roles involving HVAC systems.
• Valid driver’s license suitable for driver requirements when applicable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.29 - $30.45 per hour
