Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and calibration to prevent system failures.
- Conduct plumbing and refrigeration repairs as needed to support HVAC operations.
- Utilize tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Document all service activities thoroughly, including repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems or related mechanical fields.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, and equipment repair techniques.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration (HVAC/R), and boiler operation is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, welding, electrical troubleshooting, and appliance repair.
- Field service experience working on air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and property maintenance projects.
- Familiarity with the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing instruments.
