Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician III

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician III to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive mechanical knowledge and field service experience to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex HVAC systems across diverse property environments. Your expertise in HVAC design, refrigeration, plumbing, and equipment repair will ensure optimal indoor climate control and system efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from commercial HVAC installations to emergency repairs, all while contributing to the safety and comfort of our facilities.

Duties

  • Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and ventilation systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems such as pumps, fans, ductwork, and plumbing fixtures to ensure continuous operation.
  • Conduct troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults.
  • Repair or replace mechanical components using welding techniques or other equipment repair methods; perform boiler maintenance when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of service activities, system performance logs, and incident reports for compliance and future reference.
  • Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between sites as needed.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction standards related to HVAC installation and property maintenance.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately; familiarity with HVAC design principles is a plus.
  • Skilled in plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems; experience with ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in appliance repair, equipment troubleshooting, welding, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems associated with HVAC units; comfortable using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
  • Experience working in field service environments with the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently under pressure.
  • Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate heavy machinery safely when required. Pay: $23.02 - $27.42 per hour
