Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent

Lambert Contracting is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on utility, grading, concrete, roadway, and site development projects throughout North Alabama and surrounding areas.

This is a leadership position for a results-driven professional who can safely manage crews, equipment, subcontractors, schedules, and project execution while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

· Assist with directing daily field operations on multiple heavy civil construction projects

· Manage crews, foremen, subcontractors, and equipment resources

· Coordinate project schedules and production goals

· Ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications

· Maintain safety standards and enforce company policies

· Conduct daily planning meetings and site inspections

· Track production quantities, manpower, and equipment utilization

· Coordinate with project managers, owners, engineers, and inspectors

· Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project performance

· Maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates

· Support quality control and project closeout activities

Qualifications

· 5+ years of heavy civil construction superintendent experience preferred

· Strong knowledge of:

o Underground utilities

o Site grading and earthwork

o Concrete construction

o Roadway construction

o Storm drainage systems

· Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors

· Proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and construction software

· Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
