Heavy Civil Take-Off Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Lambert Contracting LLC. is a leading heavy civil contractor specializing in mass grading, site utilities, structural excavation, and infrastructure development. We are committed to delivering high-quality projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. We’re currently looking to add a detail-oriented and motivated Heavy Civil Take-Off Specialist to our estimating team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Heavy Civil Take-Off Specialist is responsible for producing accurate quantity take-offs and material calculations from construction plans and specifications. This role plays a critical part in preparing competitive bids and supporting preconstruction efforts for civil infrastructure and site development projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Review civil drawings, plans, and specifications to prepare accurate and detailed quantity take-offs.

· Analyze bid packages to understand project scope and identify key materials, labor, and equipment needs.

· Perform take-offs for earthwork, utilities (storm, sewer, water), concrete, paving, and other civil scopes.

· Utilize take-off and estimating software (e.g., Agtek, Bluebeam, HCSS, Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D) to perform digital take-offs.

· Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and engineers to validate take-off data and develop complete bid packages.

· Maintain organized records of quantities and calculations for historical and future reference.

· Assist in value engineering and constructability reviews as needed.

· Support the estimating team during bid reviews, pre-bid meetings, and proposal development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of experience in civil construction estimating, take-offs, or related field preferred.

· Strong understanding of civil construction processes, drawings, and specifications.

· Proficient in Bluebeam Revu and take-off software such as Agtek, Trimble, or Civil 3D.

· Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

· Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

· Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience preferred.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
