Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Shop Mechanic – Heavy Equipment to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment. This is a shop-based role with minimal travel.

Local candidates only.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy construction equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment servicing
• Use diagnostic tools including laptops and testing equipment
• Disassemble and reassemble components to OEM standards
• Operate equipment to test repairs
• Perform basic welding and cutting when needed
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately
• Communicate repair status with service team and customers
• Follow OSHA and workplace safety standards

Experience working on brands such as:

• Liebherr
• Roadtec
• Gomaco
• Manitowoc
• Grove

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of heavy equipment repair experience (Required)
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics and service manuals
• Basic welding skills
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Class B CDL (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
