Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic

Join our team as a Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery used in construction, agriculture, and industrial projects!

Responsibilities

As a mechanic, you will be required to perform the following duties and professionally undertake the following responsibilities:

General mechanic work, including but not limited to:

• Diagnosing and repairing machines, both electrical and mechanical issues
• Servicing heavy machines
• Prepping heavy machines for rental
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Pressuring washing
• Maintaining a clean shop and work area
• Welding and torching
• Meeting customers, answering questions, and demonstrating equipment
• Identify needed equipment parts or components
• Maintain detailed service records

Experience

• Proven mechanic experience working with heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, telehandlers, forklifts, skid steers, motor graders, and more.
• Familiarity working with heavy equipment brands such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Case, Komatsu, Kubota, JCB, Volvo, Dynapac, New Holland, and more.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, HVAC components, and electrical systems related to heavy machinery.
• Hands-on experience with OEM parts replacement and understanding of schematics for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Skilled in fabrication techniques.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• A problem-solving, self-starting, and innovative mind.
