Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic

Duties

Perform diagnostics and repairs on various construction machines: Excavators, Dozers, haul trucks, skid steers, backhoes, Wheel Loaders, motor graders, Drills, compaction equipment, various other machinery and attachments.

Perform diagnostics and repairs on various on highway vehicles: Low bed tractor and trailer, 10 wheelers, bob tails, tool trucks, pickups and cars.

Perform 90-day BIT inspections to DOT requirements.

Perform machine inspections

Perform preventative maintenance.

Complete all paperwork such as: service reports, time entry and inspections.

Be able to work individually or as part of a team, including mentoring technicians as needed.

Be able to communicate direction of repair and make recommendations.

Keep tools, work area and equipment clean, organized and in good working condition.

Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Min. five years’ experience in heavy equipment repair.

Technical school and or dealership experience.

Proficient in hydraulics diagnostics and repair.

Proficient in electrical diagnostics and repair.

Must have own tools.

Experience using (Diesel Laptop) diagnostic tool.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
