Heavy Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Heavy Construction Project Manager to lead large-scale Civil / Utility construction projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of heavy civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
• Develop detailed project schedules using project management tools to monitor progress and adjust plans proactively.
• Oversee project budgets and cost estimates utilizing construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or analogous tools, maintaining financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with engineers and architects to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, ensuring accurate implementation on-site.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams through effective project coordination and communication strategies.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and resolve any issues promptly.
• Utilize construction management for document control, submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and progress tracking.
• Review contracts thoroughly to ensure compliance with legal requirements and project specifications.
• Facilitate clear communication among all stakeholders to keep projects aligned with goals and deadlines.
• Implement efficient time management practices to optimize productivity across multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing large-scale heavy civil or infrastructure construction projects with a strong track record of successful delivery.
• Extensive knowledge of construction site operations, safety standards, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with M/S Project scheduling software and material quantifying using Bluebeam is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with construction estimating program HeavyBid to be used to develop accurate cost estimates is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability in project management methodologies including project scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively while maintaining client relationships.
• Valid experience in construction site supervision combined with a solid grasp of schematics and technical drawings.
• Time management skills that enable prioritization of tasks across multiple projects under tight deadlines. Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
