Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience in various types of heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure all machinery operates efficiently. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Repair and maintain heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, and farm machinery.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance on tractor-trailers, including brake repair, alignment, and suspension work.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with automotive repair practices including air brake systems, hydraulics, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for various machinery.
- Strong fabrication skills for custom repairs or modifications.
- Experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment safely.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail.

Pay: $27.50 - $35.00 per hour
