Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

Job Qualifications:

• At least 1 Years Experience in the job field
• NYS Inspector's Certificate Preferred
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent Preferred
• Vocational/Technical Training in Automotive field preferred
• Commercial Driver's License A Preferred
• ASE Certification Preferred
• Must have basic mechanic's tool set

Job Duties:

• Perform vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy duty trucks
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by cleaning bay after all repairs and properly disposing of waste materials
• Test drive vehicle operation following repair to ensure all maintenance and repair work is performed accurately
• Routine maintenance to include general service (oil changes, etc)
• General knowledge of electrical, air brakes, chassis, cooling and all other systems related to heavy duty trucking
• All trucks are pre-emissions
