Job Objective:
The Heavy Duty Driver , under the authority of the Senior Technical Officers, performs general assistance and support to the teammates and Team Leader variety of corrective and preventive maintenance and electrical activities to repair and maintain Airfield Lighting, A-VDGS and CCTV equipment and related airport buildings and equipment.

Execute the work orders as given by the Maintenance Management and Officers/Engineers, including:

Airside work
-
Assist in the replacement of broken equipment either on an emergency basis (corrective maintenance) or according to schedule set by Supervisor (preventive maintenance)

Participates to general custodial maintenance services to ensure acceptable appearance of Airfield Lighting, A-VDGS and CCTV facilities

Workshop work
-
Performs maintenance works in workshop either when in stand-by service or when under planned maintenance activities

Disassembly, inspection, part replacement, reassembly and checks of equipment (lighting fixtures, constant current regulator, A-VDGS, CCTV,)

This position requires to work in shifts (morning/afternoon/night) according to the schedule defined by the Officers/Engineers.

Participates to training sessions to maintain the highest level of competencies

Performs general cleaning/maintenance tasks necessary to keep vehicles, equipment and tools in operable condition, which may include inspecting equipment, checking fluid levels, replacing fluids, greasing equipment, washing/cleaning equipment, or cleaning shop/work areas

Exercises the necessary care and caution in handling and/or operating equipment (MEWP) and tools related to the performance of essential functions and follows airport specific safety policies/practices and adheres to responsibilities concerning safety, prevention, reporting and monitoring.
Requirements;

Ability to always stay alert and aware in order to prevent injury or accidents.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and airport operator.

Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, materials and tools used in the maintenance, installation and repair.

Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with aircraft operations, high voltage airfield lighting systems.
Experience
-
2 to 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance of facilities in AIRPORT
-
Skilled in the use of standard and specialized tools used in this work.

Heavy Driving Licence where applicable
Languages

Language know-how: English, another language is an asset.
