Summary
We are seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Trailer Trainer to support technician development and service excellence across our organization. This role is responsible for delivering hands-on and classroom training focused on dry vans, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and heavy haul trailers, ensuring technicians meet company and industry repair standards. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technician or service professional who enjoys mentoring others and building technician capability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver technical training programs for technicians on:

Dry van trailers
-
Refrigerated trailers
-
Flatbed trailers
-
Heavy haul and specialized trailers
-
All repairs must comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards

Conduct hands-on shop training and classroom instruction

Develop and update training materials and service procedures

All repairs must comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards

Support technician certification and skill development programs

Assist branches with troubleshooting and complex repairs when needed

Train technicians on safety procedures and repair best practices

Work with service leadership to identify training needs

Travel to branch locations as required to support technician development
Education/Training/Experience Requirements
-
5 + years’ experience working on heavy-duty trailers
-
Strong knowledge of dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, and heavy haul equipment

Experience diagnosing and repairing trailer systems and components

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to teach and mentor technicians at various skill levels

ASE or trailer certification preferred

Refrigeration experience strongly preferred

Valid driver’s license required
