Heavy duty truck and trailers welders and fabricators

Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and motivated Heavy Duty Truck and Trailers Welders and Fabricators to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers, we repair trailer and box trucks boxes , repair doors , Lift gates. ensuring they meet safety standards and customer specifications. Your expertise in welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly will be vital in delivering high-quality results efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to the durability and reliability of essential transportation equipment.

Duties

  • Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> specific welding techniques to assemble and repair truck frames, trailers, and related components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate parts and assemblies.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components using plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining tools.
  • Conduct rigging operations for lifting heavy components with cranes or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform pipe threading, soldering, welding inspection, and quality control checks in accordance with ASME codes & standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures related to construction site activities, mechanical work, and fabrication processes.

Skills

  • Proven construction site experience with heavy-duty truck or trailer manufacturing or repair projects.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; familiarity with <LOCATION> specific welding standards.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for fabrication tasks.
  • Mechanical knowledge of truck systems including suspension, braking systems, axles, and electrical wiring.
  • Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment.
  • Experience with rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy components safely.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during fabrication processes.

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
