Heavy Equipment Mechanic

A locally-owned and family operated grading company in business for over 60 years is in search of a top-notch heavy equipment mechanic.

Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years experience. Engines, hydraulics, electricial, air systems, transmissions, final drives, and planetary removal, rebuild, and reinstall are in the scope of work required. Welding is a plus.

Candidate must have a clean and valid Class C driver’s license. Applicant must live within 45 minutes of Hickory as Huffman Grading will provide a company service truck for use.

Provide own tools

Knowledge of CAT computer systems

Self-motivated

Maintain acceptable level of productivity

Order parts

Maintain clean work space

Wages will depend on experience.
