Heavy Equipment Mechanic

As a Diesel Mechanic you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment. You will be trained to develop deep common-sense and problem-solving skills and you will be expected to work with limited or no supervision in a high performing, safety-driven, professional environment. Every day, you will be challenged and will have to develop new ways of solving issues.

THE JOB

• General operation of construction equipment
• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Work onsite for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment
• Developing junior technicians
• Prepare and complete service orders in a timely manner
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts

• REQUIREMENTS
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of a computer ability to perform data input for jobs and workorders
• Electrical Troubleshooting
• Schematic Reading. Deep knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Diagnostic Software for Construction Equipment
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 2+ years of experience repairing/maintaining construction equipment and tools
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• You must have your own tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Cummins Engine Experience a plus
