As a Diesel Mechanic you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment. You will be trained to develop deep common-sense and problem-solving skills and you will be expected to work with limited or no supervision in a high performing, safety-driven, professional environment. Every day, you will be challenged and will have to develop new ways of solving issues.
THE JOB
- General operation of construction equipment
- Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
- Work onsite for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment
- Developing junior technicians
- Prepare and complete service orders in a timely manner
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
- REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of a computer ability to perform data input for jobs and workorders
- Electrical Troubleshooting
- Schematic Reading. Deep knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Diagnostic Software for Construction Equipment
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 2+ years of experience repairing/maintaining construction equipment and tools
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- You must have your own tools applicable to position
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
- Cummins Engine Experience a plus
