Heavy Equipment Mobile Welder

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mobile Weld Technician to join our team in the Greater Detroit area. This is a full-time position with consistent daytime hours, offering the opportunity to work with a respected leader in the construction equipment industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform all types of welding (primarily MIG welding) on heavy equipment and related components in shop setting
• Line boring on heavy equipment components
• Fabricate repairs though torching, cutting, and welding
• Accurately complete service reports, checklists, and warranty documentation
• Order and return parts as necessary and in a timely manner
• Maintain work area, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment
• Utilize tablet/laptop to update job notes daily

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Mechanical aptitude
• Prior experience in welding, line boring, cutting and fabricating of equipment and components is required
• Knowledge of off-road heavy equipment. Heavy equipment repair experience a plus.
• Able to use hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling
• Able to work in conditions that include loud noise and fumes, work on and around heavy machinery, and bend, walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time and use hand tools
• Must be able to pass a background/credit check and drug screening

Pay: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour
