Job Overview

safely maneuvers specialized multi-directional forklifts (Combi-lifts) to load, unload, and transport long/bulky materials in tight spaces, involving pre-use equipment checks, following strict safety protocols (PPE, load securing), managing inventory/ERP entries, coordinating with teams, and maintaining warehouse organization for efficiency in manufacturing, warehousing, or construction settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Handling: Operate the Combi-lift to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to/from storage and production lines.
• Loading & Unloading: Efficiently unload delivery trucks and stage materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and load security.
• Safety Compliance: Perform daily equipment inspections (brakes, hydraulics, etc.) and adhere to all safety protocols, wearing PPE.
• Inventory Management: Complete paperwork, update ERP systems, perform cycle counts, and maintain accurate location labeling.
• Coordination: Work with warehouse staff, production, and shipping teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintenance: Participate in housekeeping (5S) and report any equipment issues.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Experience: Previous forklift or heavy machinery operation is highly desirable.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of forklift safety, load handling, and potentially minor mechanical troubleshooting.
• Attributes: Attention to detail, self-motivation, teamwork, and the ability to work in a busy environment.
• Physical: Ability to lift heavy items.
• Certification: May require specific forklift certifications.

Education/Training

• High School Diploma or GED
• Three or more years of related activities, including material handling and forklift training
