We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our demolition, earthwork, and grading team. If you take pride in operating equipment safely, producing quality grades, and working on challenging site development projects, we want to hear from you.
This position works on commercial, industrial, and municipal projects performing excavation, grading, site preparation, and demolition support.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including:
- Excavators
- Dozers
- Motor graders
- Wheel loaders
- Skid steers
- Compactors and rollers
- Off-road haul trucks
- Perform rough and finish grading to project specifications.
- Read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, blueprints, and GPS machine control systems.
- Excavate for utilities, foundations, ponds, and site development projects.
- Load trucks and move materials efficiently and safely.
- Assist with demolition projects and site cleanup as needed.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
- Work safely around underground utilities, structures, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
- Experience with earthwork, grading, excavation, and site development projects.
- Ability to read grade stakes and construction plans.
- GPS machine control experience is a plus.
- CDL preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as project schedules require.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.

Pay Range
Depending on experience, certifications, and equipment proficiency.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate can confidently operate multiple pieces of equipment, understands grading and site development, works safely around crews and utilities, and takes ownership of producing quality work without constant supervision.
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
