Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced heavy equipment operator to work with our Demolition team in Clearwater, FL. As a heavy equipment operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to safely and efficiently carry out demolition projects. You will work closely with foremen, crew members, and project managers to ensure the timely completion of jobs while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with demolition equipment, a strong understanding of safety regulations, the ability to communicate with off site leadership, and the ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, skid steers, bulldozers, and other demolition equipment.

Safely and efficiently carry out demolition tasks on residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Perform pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.

Work closely with the demolition foreman and crew to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth project execution.

Maintain safe work practices and adhere to OSHA and other regulatory safety standards.

Safely handle hazardous materials when required, ensuring proper removal and disposal procedures are followed.

Assist with site preparation and clearing, including the removal of debris.

Maintain accurate records of job site activities and report any issues or changes to supervisors.

Keep equipment clean, fueled, and maintained in good working condition.

Follow all site-specific safety and environmental protocols.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a demolition operator or in a similar heavy equipment operator role.

Strong knowledge of demolition techniques, equipment, and safety standards.

Ability to safely operate a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, and bulldozers.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical stamina and strength to work in demanding and sometimes hazardous conditions.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Must pass a drug test and background check.
