Heavy Equipment Operator & Mine Plant Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator & Mine Plant Supervisor to lead our mining operations with energy and precision. This pivotal role combines hands-on heavy equipment operation with supervisory responsibilities at a mine plant, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in all activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, extensive mine site experience, and the ability to work with a team while operating a variety of heavy machinery.

The ideal candidate will be able to operate various loaders and work on and around the screening & crushing plant as needed

Duties

• Operate a range of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, water trucks, dump trucks, horizontal drillin with skill and safety.
• Supervise daily mine plant operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with team members to plan and execute mine activities efficiently across mine site.
• Oversee the safe loading, unloading, and transportation of materials.
• Implement safety procedures on equipment operation and site safety.
• Monitor project progress, document operational data, and report any issues or incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with project managers to optimize equipment usage and improve operational workflows.
• This is NOT an operator only position.
• This is job will, at times, be dirty, dusty & involve routine manual labor.
• Knowledge of MSHA & mining safety procedures

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders (including Caterpillar and Komatsu models), water trucks, dump trucks, & other mining machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor repairs and perform routine maintenance.
• Prior mine site experience with a focus on safety compliance and operational efficiency.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Familiarity with construction materials handling and site logistics management.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
